A List of Terminology Extraction Resources

I made this list since my research project is about extracting terminology and building ontology from medical documents. Some links might be very technical.
Terminology, or I usually call it term for short, is a significant word(s) in documents which represents a particular concept for a particular domain. For example, mouse (see the cartoon image) in a biology domain has different meaning to the mouse in a computer domain. A fatal accident can happen if you interchange their use, just like the man in the image.
Commercial products which use termology extraction methods:
- Yahoo! Term Extraction for Search Web Services - extract a list of significant words or phrases extracted from a larger content.
- LIQUID - a cross language access to multilingual text database. Given a query in a language, LIQUID will retrieve related documents also from other languages. It uses extracted terminologies to translate a terminology from one language to another.
